SMCS Graphic Identity

Stedelijk Museum CS 2004
Various invitations: page 1 of 9

The series of invitations we designed for SMCS consisted of several one-sided A3-sized posters, each one folded to an A5 format.

01. The first invitation, the one for the opening of the building itself, basically shows the unveiling of the logotype: all four versions of the logo are used, in various grades of abstraction.

We left the space in the right upper corner empty, so it could be used to print the address of the invited person upon; in its folded form, the invitation was sent out without an envelope. (See example further on)

In the folded invitation, a A5-sized card was included, with a perforation in the middle, turning it into two A6 cards. One A6 card would function as an admission ticket, the other as an RSVP reply card.

(Two different versions of these A5 cards were printed: one for the group of people invited for the afternoon opening, and one for the group of people invited for the evening opening. Shown in this section is only one version of the A5 card).
